Re-enrollment for Current Students - beginning April 15th thru May 1st

Parents/guardians – please re-enroll current student(s) for the 2017/18 school year through the parent IC Campus Portal. You must have a PARENT portal account to re-enroll. Call the school office if you are not sure if you have a PARENT portal or can’t remember your password - (970)247-3718. This must be done before the enrollment window on April 15th.

Durango 9-R Announces Two New School Leaders

Durango School District 9-R announces two new school leaders who will join the district for the 2017/18 school year. Vicki Trousdale, who is current assistant principal at Miller Middle School, will step into the role of principal; and Marie Voss-Patterson, also assistant principal but at Park Elementary, will also take on the role of principal.

Spring Break - March 27th - 31st

Spring Break will be the last week of March. Please note, the Monday after Spring Break, April 3rd is a Professional Development Day and there will be NO SCHOOL for students KG thru 12th Grade.

Reminder to 5th-Grade Families

Middle School and Course Selection forms are due. Spring is an exciting time of year for our 5th grade students as we begin the process of planning for middle school.

Durango High School Announces Stadium Sponsorships

Durango High School is delighted to announce the support of the Bank of Colorado, Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center, and Coca-Cola of Durango-Farmington as the first local, corporate sponsors for the DHS Stadium, athletic and activities programs. Their sponsorship dollars will go towards the repayment of the costs of the new stadium construction and new turf, which features the latest technology in synthetic playing fields, creating a safer field on which athletes can train and compete.

Mumps Alert Letter From the Colorado Dept. of Public Health

MUMPS ALERT

The school administration would like to inform you about an increase in mumps cases in Colorado. As of February 8th, there have been 27 cases of mumps in Colorado, and this number is expected to grow. In order to minimize the spread of mumps in schools, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has asked us to provide the following information. (see attached letter)

Park Elementary Readathon - Dive Deep Into Reading

Are you ready to "Dive Deep" into reading and swim to the depths of the ocean?

The Readathon is back and the theme this year is the five layers of the ocean.  It begins on Feb. 27th (Mon.) and goes until Mar. 3rd (Fri.).
