Public Hearing for Title VI Grant

Preschool and Kindergarten Registration for 2021/22

9-R is encouraging families to register for preschool and kindergarten for the 2021/22 school year as soon as possible. It is vital to ensure staffing and program availability to all of those who need the services. Registration is open and families are encouraged to register ASAP. The district preschool program is licensed to serve 16 students in a class, and currently the district is making budgetary and staffing decisions based on how many classes it needs next year.

Park Elementary to host an online Follett Book Fair - ends March 12th - LAST DAY!!

Your generous classroom donations, gift cards, and purchases help us get books into kids' hands!

A percentage of every purchase allows us to invest in books for the library that complement class curriculums and are available for teacher and student use. Your purchase also allows our library to add high-interest books, continue popular series', expand our easy reader section, obtain award winning books, and acquire contemporary nonfiction.

Cohorts from DHS, Miller and Park to Quarantine - 3.10.21

On March 10, 2021, 9-R was notified by San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) that individuals in cohorts at Durango High School, Miller Middle School and Park Elementary, were in close contact with individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, causing five (5) cohorts to quarantine. Additionally, an outbreak has been reported in the Athletic Program at Miller Middle School, which is not an indication that transmission occurred at the school, but is a designation assigned if two or more individuals in a cohort test positive.

Between March 6-9, 2021, 9-R was notified by San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) of individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, causing 5 cohorts across Durango High School, Park Elementary and Riverview Elementary to quarantine. The schools and the district are working proactively with the SJBPH to make the appropriate notifications and next steps for those who may have been in close contact with those individuals.
