Halloween is just around the corner, and soon many schools throughout the district will be hosting activities, costume parades, and extracurricular events.

Fall festivals are often organized by the school’s PTO and many are fundraisers that support staff, students, and the schools.

Gardens have inspired artists for centuries. Now it’s time for students to inspire the community with their creativity. We’re inviting all Durango School District 9-R students to submit a piece of artwork for the first annual SOIL Art Contest.

Learning to navigate a school system can be daunting for many parents; but for families who speak limited or no English, it can be especially challenging. On Wednesday evening, October 20, 2022 Durango School District 9-R will launch a new project to meet this challenge: Escuela para Padres (School for Parents).

Kindergarten thru 5th graders will have opportunities to visit the book fair during the school day with their class or during recess with teacher permission. Credit/debit cards, cash and eWallet will be accepted. Preschoolers may shop at the Book Fair with their parents/guardians. ----- Los alumnos de kindergarten a quinto grado tendrán la oportunidad de visitar la feria del libro durante el día escolar con su clase o durante el recreo con el permiso del maestro. Se aceptarán tarjetas de crédito/débito, efectivo y eWallet. Los niños de preescolar pueden comprar en la Feria del Libro con sus padres/tutores.
