Remote Meal Services

Order your FREE meals for pick up from school sites or bus routes.
Durango School District 9R Food Services is requesting families fill out a form and pre-order meals for delivery starting 11/16. Order deadlines will be the Friday before the delivery week.

We commend all the efforts that our families and staff have made to allow 9-R to open up our school year with three different learning models, including in-person. Update for the Community - 11.8.20

Good afternoon 9-R Families and Staff. As you probably know, our community is seeing a significant increase in new cases of COVID-19. This is not unlike the rest of our state or nation at this point. Needham Elementary School is closed to a majority of its students due to potential exposure of staff members to a positive case. Students were not at risk of exposure as they were not at school due to the cancelation of school a week ago Friday.

Affected Cohorts due to COVID - Update for the Community

On November 4, 2020, 9-R was notified by San Juan Basin Public Health (SJBPH) that a student at Park Elementary tested positive for COVID-19. Additionally, on November 5, 2020, 9-R was notified that a staff member at Needham Elementary also tested positive for COVID-19. The school and the district are working proactively with SJBPH to make the appropriate notifications and next steps for those who may have been in close contact with this individual.

We know this school year has been a bit different than those we are accustomed to, but thanks to all your hard work and support we have been able to continue in-person learning and limit the number of students, staff and families impacted by COVID-19. Teacher Work Day / Optional Student Enrichment (Oct. 30th, Nov. 2nd and Nov. 30th)

Dear Park Families,

This is a reminder that students will not be in the building on Oct. 30th (Fri) and Nov. 2nd (Mon.).  October 30th (Fri.) is considered a student instructional day at home.  Assignments will be sent home or available online for ALL students.  Attendance on Oct. 30th will be based off of completed assignments turned in the following week. Nov. 2nd (Mon.) is considered a non-instructional day and attendance will not be taken.
