The 9-R Public Budget Meeting for the 2022-2023 academic year budget will be on May 19, 2022 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Escalante Middle School in the Library. The next Durango School District 9-R Board of Education Work Session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 5:30 p.m. This meeting is in-person a the Durango School District Administration Building, 201 E. 12th St., Durango.
The Spanish-speaking Parent Advisory Council will meet with Dr. Karen Cheser to exchange ideas and explore how we can improve the 9-R School District for you and your children. The meeting will be in Spanish with English interpretation provided. Please RSVP with your school’s Parent Liaison.
Park Elementary School is currently in lockout. All students are safe. This is a precautionary measure recommended by the Durango Police Department in response to an incident outside the school. Parents should not come to campus and stand by for messaging. There is no threat to the school. Students and staff are safe, and classes are continuing as normal.
Durango 9-R Student Support Services and School Liaisons worked with community partners to build, install, and fill five Little Libraries with the goal of increasing book access and reading opportunities for students in our community.
