Welcome Park Students and Families,
My name is Tom Curmano and I teach Technology for all the grades at Park. I have taught at Park for seventeen years. I spent most of those years teaching 5th grade. I moved to the computer lab and joined the specials team a couple years ago. I’ve lived in Durango for many years and even graduated from Durango High School.
Elementary school technology covers a wide range of basic concepts at all the grade levels including: digital citizenship, keyboarding, computer skills, word processing, coding, and STEM activities. We look at the computer as more of a tool than a gaming device while trying to keep the activities interesting and engaging.

Mi nombre es Tom Curmano y enseño Tecnología para todos los grados en Park. He enseñado en Park durante diecisiete años. Pasé la mayor parte de esos años enseñando el 5º grado. Me trasladé al laboratorio de informática y me uní al equipo de especiales hace un par de años. He vivido en Durango durante muchos años e incluso me gradué en el instituto de Durango. La tecnología en la escuela primaria cubre una amplia gama de conceptos básicos en todos los niveles de grado, incluyendo: ciudadanía digital, teclado, habilidades informáticas, procesamiento de textos, codificación y actividades STEM. Vemos el ordenador más como una herramienta que como un dispositivo de juego mientras intentamos mantener las actividades interesantes y atractivas.
