More about Mr. Gonzales

Hello Mr. Gonzales’ crew and families,

          I am so excited to have all of you in my third grade crew! This will be my second year teaching, and my second year at Park. My wife and I have three children, a daughter in 7th grade, a daughter in 3rd grade at Riverview, and a son that will be starting his first year of Preschool. We have lots of fun as a family, and I will probably talk about them all the time!

Last year was rewarding and challenging at the same time, in spite of all the different learning models and online teaching/learning. I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with lots of learning and building relationships with students and families!

Fun fact, I am a huge Superman fan! Superman symbolizes fairness, supporting others and doing your best to find solutions as well as working hard and not being afraid to fail but having the courage to try. In our crew, we focus on having this same mindset. We care about each other, we take risks with our learning, and we celebrate failures. We will be learning and doing so much this year, and some of these things will be challenging. I am so excited to see how you develop your growth mindset and persevere!

Hola equipo del Sr. Gonzales y familias,

          ¡Estoy muy emocionada de tenerlos a todos ustedes en mi equipo de tercer grado! Este será mi segundo año de enseñanza, y mi segundo año en Park. Mi esposa y yo tenemos tres hijos, una hija en séptimo grado, una hija en tercer grado en Riverview, y un hijo que comenzará su primer año de preescolar. Nos divertimos mucho como familia, ¡y probablemente hablaré de ellos todo el tiempo!

El año pasado fue gratificante y desafiante al mismo tiempo, a pesar de todos los diferentes modelos de aprendizaje y la enseñanza / aprendizaje en línea. Estoy deseando que llegue un año emocionante lleno de mucho aprendizaje y de construcción de relaciones con los estudiantes y las familias.

Dato curioso: ¡soy un gran fan de Superman! Superman simboliza la equidad, el apoyo a los demás y el hacer todo lo posible para encontrar soluciones, así como trabajar duro y no tener miedo a fracasar, sino tener el valor de intentarlo. En nuestra tripulación, nos centramos en tener esta misma mentalidad. Nos preocupamos por los demás, nos arriesgamos con nuestro aprendizaje y celebramos los fracasos. Este año aprenderemos y haremos muchas cosas, y algunas de ellas serán un reto. Estoy muy emocionada de ver cómo desarrollan su mentalidad de crecimiento y perseveran.
