Welcome back Park Elementary students! We are so grateful to have our school full of children again! Our Park students have come back ready to pay it forward! We would like to congratulate a few of our students who were nominated by their teacher for exhibiting habits of a mindful learner - teamwork, wonder, empathy, responsibility and perseverance. Way to go Jazz T. and Charlie B.!

¡Bienvenidos de nuevo los estudiantes de Park Elementary! ¡Estamos muy agradecidos de tener nuestra escuela llena de niños otra vez! ¡Nuestros estudiantes de Park han vuelto dispuestos a darlo todo! Nos gustaría felicitar a algunos de nuestros estudiantes que fueron nominados por su maestro por exhibir hábitos de un aprendiz consciente - trabajo en equipo, asombro, empatía, responsabilidad y perseverancia. ¡Así es Jazz T. y Charlie B.!

This year, we anticipate fewer quarantines, due to the population-based approach and masking. Students who are absent will follow the attendance policy, making up work when they return unless the teacher plans otherwise. (This applies even if the student is in isolation or a quarantined determined by San Juan Basin Public Health) . We will not conduct live teaching or Zooming into classrooms during absences as was done during quarantines in the 20-21 school year.

We hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. We look forward to the new school year, which begins August 24. Here are updates regarding our COVID-related health protocols for the 2021-22 school year.

This year, Durango School District 9-R will provide breakfast and lunch to all students free of charge, regardless of the child’s free or reduced-price meal benefit status.

With less than a month before school begins, we wanted to remind families, both new and existing, to complete registration for their student(s) on InfiniteCampus.
