Disney World no one else what is good to clean up and now it's time to learn numbers letters learn to spell pizza against the wall against the law you don't notice who sings that a dream ended when Senator when are we getting together again all right mister do you want to start us off yeah good morning good morning hamsters eye is seeing some nice getting nerd on there's several of you out there that are looking awesome so welcome to our whole school crew I don't do I have power for this stuff so we are Jen with our part hamster chair so our chance excuse me so we're going to count down and we're all going to start singing unmute yourself if you'd like and we can hear all your beautiful voices yes ready three two one where am I we are all right well I can't turn it to the next page I got it just getting folks all right so again welcome and this crew is presented by the Admin and the SEL crew and there's Miss BP missed a Miss Johnson and myself were all saying hi so are reading today we are crew not passengers so I would like you as a group in your room thinking about what does that mean and then turning and talking reach other about what does that mean we are true not pastor to take something time and then turn and up all right looking at it seems like some of the group's I see fries classes getting ready so what about Miss Preston class can someone in the class share what you think that reading me knucklehead Marty Stuart together not one for saying waiting for real and if you were not able to hear that Maya said that for her it needs everybody should be working together or not waiting for one person to do something for you yeah and if you agree at put your hands up do we have any other room that wants to add on to what we just heard from Miss Preston mister Gonzalez's crew is anybody want to add on Max is coming up I think it being approved means we all work together and being a passenger is sitting around and doing nothing you're not helping out with something that we get to do if you agree put up your hands Shake Ya thank you for you for adding to that and remember we are all working together so none of us need we need to solve pitching in helping. Sitting on the sidelines watching others excellent so if we can move on to our fun part I'll take you back thank you so much Miss to do you let us do our greeting and our reading and our initiative today is called yes that have it if you have been at Park for a while you probably are familiar with our habits of a mindful scholar so those are responsibilities empathy perseverance teamwork and wonder and if you're new to our park school or you are a kindergartener you're getting to know our by and so we are going to play this little game we're going to show you a video and we would like you to be stinking in your brain which have the video is representing so you should be able to hear the sound watch a short clip of the video and then we'll come back together but be thinking of our five habits as you're watching a video and try to identify what the video is showing so our first one is here. okay I see if any of your teachers are passing out of the paper to you that piece of paper has our five habits of a mindful color you also have a little paper clip on the side of your paper you're going after just watching that clip so you saw all the little ants there and that anteater you're going to take your paper clip and slide it to which habit you think that video represented and then is there someone that would like to share what I bet they think those little ants were demonstrating oh I see some hands let me let me change my view so cuz I just have a couple classes let's see oh I see some kiddos and missed his class is that Tyler Montano that's that's great i t i c all right Jonah I think they're showing awesome why do you think they're showing teamwork awesome at our school are one I can work respectfully include all members of my team to achieve a common goal that's kind of what they were doing right they wanted to stop at anteater I share ideas and I share leadership and a variety of roles and responsibilities so many of you talked about how you don't just sit in the boat you actually Row The Boat right you're sharing that group responsibility and then you are willing to take risks so we're going to take just a moment I want you to look at those learning Target and I want you to think of a time when you have shown teamwork maybe it's in school maybe it's out of school so get that in your head of a time that you were really successful at showing see more and then you're going to turn in talk elbow partner or someone at your table Target all right teachers if you have anyone that did a nice job of sharing a time that they've shown Seymour let me know and we can share out real quick I see a kiddo and Miss Stephens class that may have shown some teamwork when we were we were doing we were doing a game in here with we were how do we show teamwork and we tried different strategies can I see you cheering weather on and so that was you guys being respectful and including each other to meet a common goal your plan is hula hoop game and then it sounds like you also maybe you heard other strategies from different people and tried them is that right is that Abby them talking to I can't see at all right awesome awesome job that is definitely some teamwork that you showed this next have it I want you to watch and remember you got your little paper with a paperclip and you can slide when you think you know the habitat this video represents go ahead and slide your paper clip to that habit here we go awesome okay so that was some a video short that maybe somebody is being called day and night and one of those characters was dead and the other was night and man they were having some fun do you guys have some ideas about what habit that might be I see a hand in mr. fries class going to choose someone how about you buddy why do you think it's Wonder they were doing a bunch of different things to wear. yeah they're kind of like learning about each other right you nailed it buddy are learning targets for Wonder or I can ask questions and seek answers I can take risks to explore something I'm interested in learning about and I can OB open to an interested in new learning and so for this one all we're going to do that when you think about something that you're interested in learning about this year and you're just going to like whisper it into your hands to think about something that you really want to learn about our you're wondering if it doesn't have to necessarily be in school just something you're wondering about in the world right and then whisper it into your hand and we'll do our next video all right awesome this is our next video we are going to guess this habit hey here we go is it we're just going to watch the whole video where animals are helping each other and sitting each other so what do you guys think that that habit represents I see someone in Miss Scott's class what do you say cast I think that they showed teamwork and perseverance by never giving up helping each other they also showed perseverance because that one doggie was not going to let the other doggy go down the river is there another idea that someone has about what other have it they might have shown anybody else have an idea of another habit Lucie I saw the dog and he was trying to get sick for you without the other part of the steak Cindy said empathy and kindness yeah yeah and so I agree with all the things that have been said we felt that this whole video really showed a lot of empathy because animals were caring about each other and they were helping each other right there if they were showing that kindness to one another so our learning targets for empathy are I can identify physical and situation including me and others to help identify my feelings and others feeling so that means you pay attention to your friends and your teachers are anyone you're around and you try to figure out how they're feeling and then you think about how you might feel if you were in their position or their you were experiencing something that they were experiencing another one is I can demonstrate caring and helping behaviors by responding with compassion and different settings so I think those doggies and if you know, you don't have with dogs those doggies were showing a lot caring and helping so I love that video it warms my heart the next one is I can recognize and acknowledge someone else's feelings and their perspective in different places and situations so again thinking about how others would say something we don't all see things the same way and it helps us right I want you right now to think of why it is important really really important that we see in our lives and we show empathy towards others so and we can just have someone raised their hand and share out of why empathy is important and then we'll move on to our next guest that have it sorry I oh not everyone has their screens on but I miss you Google I think I see a hand in your class why is empathy important why is it important to be kind Miss Allie is going to answer this for that we can you stand up it's important because like if your friend was going down a waterfall I do the same on just as well it's not my fault I would actually try to help them when they go down the river yeah if you want to try to help them and show kindness awesome thank you sweet is that what's up Ari, sadly sadly all right all right we are going on to our neck yes that habit and Miss if he's going to take it from here Cruise yay cinematic Max I did so many hand raised and so many Cruz here's what I want you to do teachers put in the chat box what haven't you think the. Video shows type it into the awesome since so many of you can see it to what look almost everyone guess responsibility you are absolutely right that showed responsibility in the beginning they are being very irresponsible and at the end they were being extremely responsible so we have for learning targets for responsibility teachers here's what you're going to help with your crew do you were going to pick one of the learning targets that you really want to work on as a crew and your classroom so I'll read them you decide which one you're going to choose and then write it on a sticky note teachers or write it on the board cuz this is something your crew is going to work on for the neck sweet your four choices are I can do the right thing even when no one is looking that means even if there's a teacher that is not in the hallway you would still walk because walking is a part of responsibility responsibility for and learn from my mistakes I make mistakes all the time and so it's really important that you learn from you don't repeat the same mistakes I can set goals for my own learning conferences are coming up and I can follow school-wide expectations and talk which one are you going to choose to work on for the next week and you're going to write it on the board what I was thinking of stopping to give you 2 minutes at 8:33 2 minutes for you guys to decide go about 30 more seconds make sure you your habit okay we're going to go on to the next one all right here we go just that habit where is it go ahead and stop at there that little clip you guys eat this live really wanted to be able to fly okay put in all things to be able to fly what habitat do you think it's snowing I see mr. a screw very very excitedly wanting to spare go ahead and admit yourself what is it where do you agree that you can put your thumbs up on the little sign or on the the reaction but the person learning targets I can demonstrate parent patience I can set a goal and work towards the end result I can work through challenges and I can learn through my Styx so those are our perseverance learning targets so now crew after you learn these five habits teamwork wonder if it's the responsibility and perseverance you can nominate someone for a pan the panther Roar is a really awesome opportunity to nominate somebody in your classroom who has been showing those habits and what it would look like is it you want to recognize this student not adults recognizing kid students to students that you would tell your teacher hey I would like standing to be any adults don't have any staff member and they can have are you with the panther Roar form and you can nominate a classroom and then a big part of holes full crew we share out who the panther rewards are all right so this is something that we're putting in places that we have another whole school in October do keep in mind if you looking for someone who's showing those have each grade level is going to get a chance to host a whole school group to 5th graders as the leaders of our school you are up in October and so first opportunity to do a panther Roar would be okay so dbree turn in talk what is one habit you want to work on and how will you show that habit to go ahead and turn in talk what is one habit you want to work on your you personally and how are you going to show that habit might need a little bit of time and then teachers would you just please put one thing you heard in the chat box I'm working on empathy and friendship Liam wants to work on wonder comfortability teamwork gray crew Ashley wants to work on wonder I love that buddy wants to work and wonder by asking questions cool buddy all right the group and Gustafson class wants to work on one door to the what we're going to do now Miss Katie's going to your Panther fries instead of doing it over the intercom and then we're all going to sign okay will do that and then we'll sign off thank you everyone for joining our first Zoom we've got a few other words that I'm going to announce our first when does the Gunner dorco mrs. Morris nominated Gunner for a panther Pride award Gunner is a role model for all of the habits of mind. Our heated Mysteries kindness toward everyone and makes me happy every day you should patients responsibilities most of all wonder when he asks clarifying questions to learn and improve his skills way to go Dunner you can come down to the office when we sign off here next up is Annalise Wells this is Maurice also nominated Annalise for Panther Pride award she always shows integrity by doing what's right even when no one is looking she exhibits all of the habits of a mindful scholar everyday she is polite helpful and responsible I appreciate her hard work and dedication to reach her goal way to go in next up we have that we do Shawn Miss Tolson nominated Bentley for a panther Pride award Bentley has shown some amazing empathy and responsibility by helping to pick up trash around the playground during recess Ellie wants everyone to have a clean and safe place to play and spend time with mm job two more next up by Lee Williams Miss Preston nominated Kylie Kylie Regular Show genuine in and what we are learning and shows wonder and her positive attitude or attitude to learning new things she is fun and interesting to talk to and a great remember I would agree with that Kylie love spending time with you at recess all right way to go Kylie last but not least we have the wonderful Jayden Fuller mrs. Preston nominated jaded for a panther pride of work he is a responsible member of our crew who is always willing to help out and have a positive growth mindset learning new and challenging thing we are lucky to have Jaden and our crew way to go Jaden we will see you guys down in the office and I hope everyone has a great day showing all of our habits my crew have a good day today
