About Me

Greetings! My name is Tom Poole and I am the Physical Education Teacher at Park. I was born and raised in Durango and I graduated from Fort Lewis College with a BA in Exercise Science with an emphasis on K-12 Education and a Minor in Coaching.  

 

In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, playing guitar, creating music, and reading- mostly nonfiction.

 

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the joy and sense of accomplishment students have when they learn a new skill in my class. My students would say that I am a calm, encouraging teacher who has a good sense of humor.
