I am the Media Tech./Librarian for Park Elementary. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University.  I have worked in the library at Park for 20 years.  Before I moved to Durango with my husband, son and daughter, I was the director of a school-age childcare program, that I developed, in Kremmling, Colorado.  I have also worked as a paraprofessional, a substitute teacher, a preschool teacher, and an infant supervisor.  In all, I have worked with children for almost 30 years! 

 

I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, playing hockey, dancing, watching movies, and, of course, reading.

 

I am always excited to share my joy of reading with the wonderful students at Park.  I love to read stories that make them laugh, think, and wonder.  Helping a student find that “just right” book and seeing them get excited about reading is a constant delight for me!
