Meet Miss Libby Hasson!

 

Hi Park Crew! My name is Libby Hasson and I am a first grade teacher at Park Elementary school. I cannot wait to meet your student and your family! My students call me Ms. Libby. 

 

I recently joined the Park Crew earlier this year when I was hired mid year in kindergarten! This school year will be my 5th year in the education field. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a student aid in the Special Education department in several different settings. After working those jobs, I realized my true calling was to become a teacher! I have wanted to be a teacher since I was little!  After I finished my bachelors degree in Child Development, I then went on to receive my masters in Early Childhood Education. My passions as a teacher are creating deep, meaningful, and trustworthy relationships with my students and their families as well as adjusting my teaching style and classroom to fit the needs of each of my littles! 

 

I am originally from Maryland. I moved to Durango in November of 2022 with my dog and my cat! I have had fun adjusting to the outdoorsy lifestyle of Durango and frequently enjoy going to see live music or camping! 

 

I look forward to having your family as a part of our Crew! This school year is going to be full of learning, growing, big challenges, and a lot of fun!

¡Hola Park Crew! Mi nombre es Libby Hasson y soy maestra de primer grado en la escuela Park Elementary. ¡No puedo esperar a conocer a su estudiante y su familia! Mis estudiantes me llaman Sra. Libby.

 
¡Recientemente me uní al equipo de Park a principios de este año cuando me contrataron a mitad de año en kindergarten! Este año escolar será mi quinto año en el campo de la educación. Antes de convertirme en maestra, trabajé como ayudante de estudiantes en el departamento de Educación Especial en varios entornos diferentes. ¡Después de trabajar esos puestos de trabajo, me di cuenta de mi verdadera vocación era convertirse en un maestro! Después de terminar mi licenciatura en Desarrollo Infantil, pasé a recibir mi maestría en Educación Infantil. Mis pasiones como maestra son crear relaciones profundas, significativas y de confianza con mis estudiantes y sus familias, así como ajustar mi estilo de enseñanza y el aula para satisfacer las necesidades de cada uno de mis pequeños.

Soy originaria de Maryland. Me mudé a Durango en noviembre de 2022 con mi perro y mi gato. ¡Me he divertido mucho adaptándome al estilo de vida al aire libre de Durango y con frecuencia disfruto ir a ver música en vivo o ir de campamento!

¡Espero tener a tu familia como parte de nuestro Crew! Este año escolar va a estar lleno de aprendizaje, crecimiento, grandes retos y ¡mucha diversión!
