Kathleen Holley - Math Interventionist
Hello and welcome to Park! This school year, 2023-2024, will be my 22nd year at Park and it feels like a second home to me! I’ve been a classroom teacher in 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. This year marks my second year working as Park’s math interventionist. I find immense joy in witnessing the moment when complex mathematical ideas begin to make sense to our young learners. The excitement and satisfaction they feel when they independently solve a math problem is truly heartwarming and fuels my dedication to their education.
A little about me…I was born and raised in Connecticut and I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. After moving to Durango, I went back to school and received my teaching license from Fort Lewis College.
In my free time, I like to be outside gardening, camping, hiking, and paddleboarding with my husband Nick, daughters Lila (16 ), Aletta (14) and our dogs Otis & Mavis . When I’m not outside playing, I enjoy reading and practicing yoga.
